an Indoor Air Condition 25 yd Archery range and an archery league
and most of the locals are fishing or Turkey hunting which opened
statewide on April 1st. On Santee Cooper Lakes catfish can be
caught in the creek mouths using cut bait, worms or stink baits
fished on the bottom. Also some big cats will be caught in the
shallows. Crappies are being caught in Jack’s Creek, Taw
Caw Creek and Wyboo Creek using minnows or slow trolling mini-jigs
around brush piles. May is a great time to bream fish in local
ponds especially around the full moon (May 19th) using crickets,
the Flip o Poppie and worms. They have the store stocked up with
the latest and best fishing supplies, and they do rod and reel

weather and rain. Ponds are producing some nice catches of fish
and the catfish in the rivers has improved also. The local rivers
are producing some nice fish.

your hogs by appointment. They are located in Marion at the 576
caution light into Greenwood Park. They do an extensive line of
cooked products like summer sausage, smoked sausage, bologna,
snacks sticks, mild or Jalapeno, plus all your normal cuts. They
charge a price of $65.00 for your basic processing. Catfishing
fishing is still good, try deeper water and a slower presentation
using live bait. Local ponds are producing some bream and bass.
Bass and crappies are biting on the local rivers and lakes.

this is a great time to shop for a new boat and they are carrying
a line of boats by SEA BOSS. They also stated it seems everyone
seems to be getting spring fever because they have been busy servicing
and rigging fishing boats. They have the Carolina Skiffs fiberglass
flat bottom boats perfect for coastal creek or river fishing,

catfish or crappie. For the guys fishing for bass, bream and catfish

Bass and catfish are being caught on the river and will improve
when the water goes down some. Crappies are being caught on the
lakes and ponds in the area. Try using worms, minnows and crickets
for bait. Doug says they recently caught a 40lb catfish right
behind the Store in the river.
