of catfish have been reported in the shallows at night and in
deeper water during the day. They have also had some crappie fishing
around the brush piles in 12 to 20 feet of water, minnows have
been the best bait. Bass can be caught on topwater baits, plastic
worms, jigs, and crankbaits in 3 to 18 feet of water. Now would
be a good time to make your reservations for your summer fishing

Heart of the Lakes FISH CAMP has the
finest professional fishing guides available for your fishing
enjoyment. The lake levels have been great and the water is clear/cloudy,
but the fishing is outstanding. Mike said the guides and their
parties have been getting good catches of catfish, also try some
night fishing for them. We should see some good largemouth bass
fishing this month early and late in the day, try some night fishing

Bream will be best on the full moon but good all month. Crappie
will be moving to deeper water on the ledges and brushpiles. Big
Blue Cats will be caught in deep water but will be moving to the
canal. Stripers will be returning and we will be fishing with
live bait drifting the riverbeds and deep water. This area is
also very well known for duck, deer, and turkey hunting adventures.
Best of all, the water temperature will be 70°+ and is actually
when the trophy sized Flathead Catfish are waking up and usually

are being caught drifting in 10 to 24 feet of water, and some

shad, Gizzard shad and they hear the fishing on the lake has started
up and folks have been getting some decent catches of fish. They
have been seeing some good catfish coming in and the crappie fishing
is picking up real well. The catfish have started to move up to
shallow water biting worms, fresh cut bait, and live bait. The
crappie are in 14 to 20 feet of water around some type of structure
with minnows being the best bait. The largemouth bass fishing
should also be good in the shallows early and late using top water
and soft plastics. Shellcrackers and bream are hitting crickets
and worms in shallow water. Bream will go on the beds on the full

catfish hitting cut bait and worms in 5 to 15 feet of water. Bream
should be very active in the shallow water around the full moon

in South Carolina. Partridge Creek is a family oriented organization,

State Skeet Shoot, has monthly registered Sporting Clays and Trap

fiberglass work, boat repairs, and does custom painting with various
types of paint. He is ready to take on all boat repairs from a
small ding to some major fiberglass hull repairs. W. L. does a
great job on fixing and painting Outboard motor covers and camo
paint on boats. He also builds customs wood cabinets the old fashion
way using real wood and strong joints. Stop by the shop and view

Larry Cromer of LARRYS DEERHEAD TAXIDERMY (803-775-1660)
located at 54 Fort Street in Sumter SC does Deer, small game animals,
and fish. He has won several awards for deer heads from National
and State Taxidermy competitions. He is a member of the South
Carolina and National Taxidermy Association. Larry says the fishing
has improved and he is ready to go catch some big ol bass and
bream this month. Plenty of Bass will be in shallow water around
trees and pad beds, try plastic worms, spinner baits, and topwater
plugs early and late in the day. Bream will be on the beds around
the full moon on the 7th of July. Deer season is only a month
away in some areas.

in 3 to 18 feet of water using cut bait, shad, or worms. Stop
