A few trout can be caught trolling deep, using downriggers with
with Bad Creek spoons, Sutton Spoons, Doctor Spoons and broke
back rapalas from 60 to 80 feet deep over tree tops early and
late in the day on Lake Jocassee reports JOCASSEE OUTDOOR CENTER

be caught at night using night crawlers and live herring or big
minnows about 30 to 60 feet down near the dam. Bass should be
caught this month on top water early and late or at night in the
river area around tree tops. Also, there are plenty of bream around
the banks. Try using popping bugs, worms or crickets. Call now

There will be a lot
of night time fishing for bass and spotted bass on Lake Keowee

mile below Salem on Hwy 130. Catfishing is good using nightcrawlers
and cut bait on the bottom. Bream and shellcracker fishing is
good to excellent and will only get better during the full moon
(July 7). You have to renew your fishing license by July 1st to

plenty of hybrid and striper in Lake Hartwell to pull your string
with most of the fishing done at night using live bait. Stop by
over the 4th of July holiday or while on vacation and pick up
any of your fishing needs and get some great food. We also carry

accessories. Live blue back herring is available for the striper

on Saturday mornings at 9 am.

30 to 70 feet deep. Some big rainbow and brown trout are starting
to show up and it’s only going to get better. The lake is

Lake Keowee Marina is located at 150 Keowee Marina
Dr. in Seneca. They are a full service marina including gas, ship
store, sales and service, boat rentals, storage, live and artificial
baits. Some of the brands of lures they carry are Lake Fork, Nemire
spoons, Reaction Strike, Smackbait, and Fishbelly. All of the
lures and tackle they carry are suitable for catching fish on
Keowee. Guide service is available. South Bay is their main line
of pontoons but they broker all types of boats. Don’t forget
