FIGHTIN DA BLUES GUIDE SERVICE reports by mid July, the spawn is pretty much complete for the blues and channel catfish on Greenwood and Monticello. There is usually a real heavy feeding period for a few days, possibly a week or more at some point in July on Monticello. Predicting exactly when this occurs is a little difficult, but it can be some real good fishing. Anchoring and drifting both on the bottom and with free lines are all good ways to put fish in the boat. Fresh cut bait of your choice is the best bet for the bigger fish. Drifting with shrimp is a sure fire way of loading the boat with eating sized channel cats on Greenwood during July. For more information visit my website www.fightindablues.com.
