Attention Hunters and Fishermen THE SPORTSMAN at LAKE RUSSELL
is under new management and is being renovated and re-stocked.
For the hunter they have some hunting supplies. For the fishermen
they have a drive thru covered bait tank area where you can get
your herring and minnows easily. You can keep your bait in the
same water so that it will live longer. They are also stocking
up with new fishing tackle. They have lunch specials and sandwiches
of all types. On the fishing we heard that stripers have been
caught using live herring behind planer boards or free lining.
Also when the water is moving, stripers are being caught on the
Clarks Hill side of the Lake Russell dam casting big buck tails
